Planning the house before its construction is an important thing. House planning involves the use of spaces that are essential in the physiological as well as psychological considerations of every members of the family.
In house planning, the things that should be considered are the Cost, the Complete Space picture, the Space Limitations, the Personality of the family members, the Functionability, the Coordination, and the Design.
The cost of the materials and the labor in the construction of the house is one of the factors that limits the plan of the house. The house plan should fit for the total cost that is intended for the house.
The complete space picture chould also be considered. This includes the community or the vicinity in where the house should be located.
Space limitation is also important; in house planning, the space should be considered and widely used. Spaces should served the physical as well as psychological functions. The space should be planned well in accordance with the families needs.
In planning a house, the personalities of the members are also one of the factors to be considered. This includes what every members of the family wants. This should be ensured to be able for every members to work effectively.
The functionability of the house should also be planned. Functionability means that the house has the capability to cater different functions. The household activities can be categorized into two; first are the major activities that are needed by the family for the physical as well as for the spiritual events, the second are the service activities which exist for the purpose of facilitating major activities.
The coordination in the house should also be planned. This includes the coordination of the space and time with the movements of humans inside it. The house should be designed in such a way that ther is a flexibility in the use of the space and the equipments in the house.
The design of the house should be properly planned. It should be harmoniously related to its landscape. The position of the paths as well as the corridors and stairs of the house should also be considered.
